Instructions:

Braided Trucker Hatband:
Step 1: Measure the distance between either side of your trucker hat bill with your leather string.
Step 2: Cut the leather string to length.
- Pro-tip! Use a round end punch for an easy and clean look
Step 3: Measure 1/2” in on both ends of the strip and lightly mark. This is where you will start and stop cutting.
Step 4: Measure 5mm inwards from both sides of the strip. This is where your cuts will go the length of the leather string across the hat bill.
Step 5: Grab your favorite leather cutting tool and cut through the leather to the marked ends of your leather string.
Step 6: Begin to braid the leather strip as you would with a mystery braid. Follow this video for in-depth instructions!
Step 7: Place the braid onto the ball cap shade where the crease lays and center your leather string on both sides.
Step 8: Mark the middle of the string and secure it with a spot on each side.

Cowboy Hatband:
Step1: Wet the leather with water using a sponge or spray bottle.
Step 2: Stamp the hatband strip with your desired stamps or tooling design.
Step 3: Let this completely dry before continuing.
Step 4: Add Dr. Jackson's Pure Neatsfoot Oil, then your Eco-Flo All-in-One Stain & Finish.
Step 5: Secure the hatband buckle set onto your hatband strip.
Step 6: Adjust and add to your cowboy hat and enjoy!
